How to Make Chicken Stew - Easy and Delicious Recipe?



Preparing chicken stew is fairly easy, you could say that it is one of the best recipes to improvise. Why? Because you can use any vegetable you have in the refrigerator at the time of preparation. The only thing you would need to have is tomatoes, or tomato sauce.

Chicken stew recipe

In this stewed chicken recipe, I put vegetables onion, peppers, carrots and leeks, but, as I explained earlier you can use whatever you want: green onion, garlic, broccoli ... in fact, broccoli is delicious! Be creative and use what you have in the fridge, which is how incredible dishes come out.


Easy stew chicken

Let's prepare a recipe with chicken stew with diced vegetables in julienne. Very simple and delicious.

Ingredients

·         2 large chicken thighs
·         1 medium carrot chopped into julienne long strips
·         1 medium onion also in julienne
·         A piece of pepper more or less the same amount as the onion, chopped into julienne
·         A piece of about 6 inches of leek
·         2 medium tomatoes that are very juicy.
·         1/4 cup soy sauce
·         1 cup water
·         Salt and pepper

Preparation

1.    In a large frying pan - or a pot - with oil you will seal the chicken legs, previously salted, on both sides until they are lightly browned.
2.    Next you will add all the vegetables together chopped plus a pinch of salt. Cook about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

3.    Once the vegetables have been sweated a little along with the chicken thighs, add the soy sauce and the cup of water. Stir, lower the heat and cover.
4.    Let cook for about 25 minutes, stirring and turning the chicken pieces from time to time.
5.    After this time, turn off the heat and let stand 5 minutes before serving.


As stewed chicken thighs are left with enough sauce, I recommend serving them with white rice.

Delicious variations for this recipe:

Stewed chicken with potatoes:  Follow the instructions in this recipe, but you will add 2 chopped potatoes in medium cubes along with the vegetables.
Chicken stew with mushrooms: Make everything the same. Put 150 grams of fresh mushrooms, chopped into sheets next to the vegetables.
Chicken stew with apples:  Do not be surprised, the chicken and the apple are good friends, and if they are made in a sauce then much better. To make this dish, simply add 1 apple cut into sheets to the recipe.
